 On July 1st of 2007, Dr. Eric Peterson purchased the practice from Dr. Thomas Peterson when he retired from small animal medicine.  Some of the faces have changed, but we will continue to strive to provide the highest quality of veterinary medicine to our patients.

    Dr. Eric Peterson

    Dr. Peterson, no relation to Dr. Tom Peterson, is a North Muskegon native and graduated from North Muskegon High School.  After high school he went to Albion College, then off to Michigan State University for the remainder of undergraduate and veterinary school.  During undergraduate studies at MSU, Dr. Peterson started working at Northside and found that it was a great fit.  Upon graduation in 2003 from veterinary school, he started working as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) here at Northside.  At home, Dr. Peterson enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Marisa, daughter Charlotte, and their two cats, Norm and Cliff.

  • Dr. Beth Anne LaPointe

    Dr. Beth Anne LaPointe

    Dr. Beth Anne LaPointe joined the staff here at Northside Veterinary Hospital April 2007. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in 1986. She practiced as a licensed nursing home administrator for 10 years before pursuing her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. LaPointe received her DVM degree from Michigan State University in 2005, and worked in Grand Haven before joining Northside. Dr. LaPointe and Mark live in Whitehall with their dog McDugan and their 2 cats, Inky and Jack Sparrow. Dr. LaPointe's daughter Kari Beth is currently a senior at Northern Michigan University and her son Kyle will attend Western Illinois Universirty in the fall of 2011. Dr. LaPointe looks forward to meeting you and your pets!

  • Dr. Stacy Fournier

    Dr. Stacy Fournier

    Dr. Stacy Fournier joined the Northside staff in June 2009. Her family roots are in Oceana County but having grown up in Austin, Texas she attended Texas A&M University as an undergraduate. Following an undergraduate study-abroad year in England, she began veterinary school at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and graduated in 2006. Settling in Western Michigan was a lifelong dream of hers and she is delighted to be near her extended family. She and her husband Matt live in Ludington with their young daughter Claire, and enjoy their pets (a Boxer dog and a three-legged cat), outdoor activities (biking, running, hiking, among others), large family gatherings, and working on home and garden projects.

  • Eve M Pattyn

    Eve M Pattyn

    Eve was hired as our Practice Manager in October, 2008.  Eve has her Bachelors Degree from Grand Valley State University in Business Management.  She also has fourteen years management experience in the service industry. She is married to Jeff, with two children Grace, 9 and Kole, 7.  Her family has two dogs, Chase who is a shih tzu mix with pug and an English bulldog.

    Kara Hanis, LVT

    Kara is a 2006 graduate of the Veterinary Technology program at Baker College in Muskegon.  She has two crazy whirlwinds at home named Gracie and Lizzie.  They are both Blue Heelers so they keep her very busy!  Kara was born and raised in the Montague area.  In her free time when not with her dogs, she spends time with family and friends.  She has taken a special interest in canine and feline behavior and hopes to further her understanding in this area of medicine.

  • Robin (Bobbi) Stauffer

    Robin (Bobbi) Stauffer

    Bobbi is a veterinary assistant and has worked at Northside for 32 years.  She graduated from Whitehall High school and then earned a degree in interior design from Baker College in Muskegon.  She has two cats (Gabrielle and Coal), a rabbit (Bun), a guinea pig (Max), and 6 fish (Rod, Reel, Bobber, Sinker, Spinner, and Dot); she also raises chickens.

  • Karla Pearcy

    Karla Pearcy

    Karla has been with Northside for the last 10 years. She has grown up in the North Muskegon area up until her recent move to Whitehall where she currently resides with her boyfriend, Corey, his son Gage, and four dogs, Kosmo (Cocker Spaniel), Rocko (Labradoodle), Kaptain (Golden Retriever), Claudio (Chihuahua), and one cat Tom (the coolest cat ever). Things can get pretty wild with a house full of animal, but she wouldn't trade it for the world. In her spare time Karla enjoys nothing more than spending time at the beach with their retrievers in beautiful West Michigan and during the winter months they enjoy cooking various dishes.

    Lisa George

    Lisa has been a receptionist here at Northside Vet since June 1986. She loves her job due to the fact that she loves animals. She has always had dogs and her breed of choice would be the German Shepherd. She has had three German Shepherds over the years as well as a Golden Retriever. Lisa now has a 13 year old Boxer Pit Bull named Whiplash that was a stray. They have had him since he was about 6 months old. Lisa has a Tortieshell cat named Skylar who adopted her about 4 years ago. Lisa and her husband Mike have 4 children who range in age from 20-27 and 1 grand daugter who is 3 and the joy of their lives. Mike and Lisa are both Harley Davidson enthusiasts. Lisa has a 1998 Fatboy and her husband Mike has a 2006 Road King. Lisa has also been a Pampered Chef Consultant since 2005.

    Jamie Medema

    Jamie has enjoyed being an employee of Northside for 12 years. Getting to know the clients and their pets is just one of the many highlights of working here. Jamie and her husband Mark currently reside in the Muskegon area. She has two young children, Wyatt and Evelyn, Charlie a Border Collie Mix, Ace a cat, and two rabbits who keep her family very busy. As a family they enjoy the outdoors, and spending time watching hockey and baseball.

    Molly Kinsley

    Molly grew up in Muskegon on 40 acres that were filled with ponds and wildlife. That is where she gets her love of nature. She likes to be outside gardening, walking and enjoying the sunshine. She is a Reeths-Puffer graduate and did spend a couple of years attending Baker College. She like spending time with her family, friends, and her two cats; Booty and Woody.
